Nora Eisner is currently a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Astrophysics as well as a Henry Norris Russell Fellow at Princeton University. Prior to her current position, Nora completed her Ph.D. in Astrophysics at the University of Oxford, and her Master’s degree in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Sheffield. Her work primarily focuses on the detection and characterization of exoplanets with the help of citizen science, with a particular focus on trying to understand how planets form, evolve and die. In addition to being the project leader of the Planet Hunters TESS, Nora develops data analysis tools designed to aid in the detection and verification of planetary and stellar signals in the TESS data.
